build your own binoscope solution

The bino-platform BB-160 is made for midsize refractors about 4" - 5" and offer adjustable distance of the both tubes between 145 mm to 200mm (5,7" to 8"). This solution will works best with 2" or 3" EMS and can adjust to find parallel position of the both tubes. To make the mechanical structure as rigid as possible, we use high precision ball cage linear-bearing's from Agathon to realize best linear adjustability.

Absolute important is to keep both tubes parallel otherwise you get a double image. Otherwise you must get the adjustability of the distance of both tubes (interocular distance). This will adjust with a easy to use hand-wheel at side. The platform works perfect with Borg 90FL^®, Takahashi^® TSA 102 and TSA 120 or similar telescopes of coarse.

The platform permitted easy and stable adjustment of the both tubes and can use on stable tripods as well as at the Alt/Az mount AYOcradle. An special point is the fact that even you chance the distance of both tubes, the barycenter will be always at the middle of the unit. This make usage simpler.

Both telescope mounting panel can adjust sturdy but accurate each in "X" and "Y" axis so you can find the best position for your setup even the EMS elements offer a separate "X Y" adjustment too. This give you the freedom to build up a giant, high quality binoscope with maximum visual power and simple usage.

The optional "L-holder" can support with dovetails with a wide of 45 mm ("Vixen"^® design) as well as for the 3" ("Losmandy"^® design) size.
